Traffic Box Public Art Project

The Allied Arts Council invites artists to apply for a public art project to create art on traffic signal boxes in the downtown area. The goal of the project is to decrease the instances of graffiti on these surfaces while making them artful objects that contribute significantly to the vitality and attractiveness of the streetscape.
For 2013, the traffic signal box to be addressed is located at the corner of 4th and Felix streets. Approximate dimensions are 29.5” H X 20“ W X 14.75” D.
The Allied Arts Council in cooperation with the City of St. Joseph is implementing the project. Applicants should submit a design proposal as well as qualifications (see Selection Process and Applicant Information).
