At a time when the bubonic plague of 1593 was devastating London and closing theatres, William Shakespeare created some of his greatest plays and sonnets. In support of creative artists during our current pandemic, the Koger Center for the Arts has launched the 1593 Project: A Call for Art. Only submissions from SC visual and performing artists will be considered. The selected artist will receive a $500 stipend, rehearsal or gallery space and a performance or exhibition at one of the areas at the Koger Center. Submissions accepted through June 30, 2020.
