Speed Painting Silent Auction Benefit for the American Diabetes Assoc.

CaRo Art Studio and Gallery will be hosting a benefit for the American Diabetes Association of CT/ Western MA. The “Speed Painting Silent Art Auction” will be a one day event from 4pm-8pm where invited artists will produce art within a two-hour period (4-6pm). At 6pm, the auctioneer will read the highest bid and allow a few minutes for any other bids before closing the bid. From 6pm-8pm, there will be an Artist Reception featuring live music. Artists will have an opportunity to showcase their skills and receive exposure to new potential collectors. The artists must be willing to create at least one (1) piece of art on site to donate to the silent auction. Artists will not receive any compensation for this event. Artists must first provide to Gallery: 1. A brief description of his/her work 2. 2-3 JPGs of his/her artwork, online portfolio or website with most current work. Accepted artists MUST provide: 1. Two (2) typed one-page Bio/Statement 2. Business cards or infomation cards 3. All materials needed to create own work (including easel) Gallery will provide: 1. Drop Cloth 2. Access to wet room (to clean brushes,etc) 3. Bottle waters 4. Free passes (for up to 2 people) for 6-8pm live music at event.
