The South Cobb Arts Alliance (SCAA) is pleased to announce our 29th National Juried Exhibition.  The exhibition will be at the Mable House Arts Center (MHAC), 5239 Floyd Rd SW, Mableton, GA 30126. $3000 in prizes and cash awards: Karen Beswick Founders Award $1,000; SCAA Award of Distinction $500, Four Awards of Excellence $250 each; and Four Awards of Merit $125 each.

JUROR & JUDGE:

Maria Sarmiento is a versatile, innovative, and talented studio artist and educator with extensive experience teaching sculpture at Kennesaw State University, Georgia State University, The Art Institute of Atlanta, Metro Academic Studies, and Sarmineto Studio LLC.  A Colombia native and resident of Atlanta, Maria received her MFA in Sculpture from Georgia State University.  Maria’s expertise includes Drawing, 2-D Design, 3-D Design, Color Theory, Digital Color Theory, Sculpture, Foundry and Advanced Sculpture. Her sculptural art includes different methods such as cast metals, cement, steel, paper, artistic glass, and recycled materials.

ELIGIBILITY:

• Open to all residents of the USA, age 18 or older.
• Original artwork completed in the last two years, with no kits or premanufactured parts. No print reproductions or Giclees.
• Artwork previously shown in a SCAA exhibit is not eligible.
• All works must be priced for sale.  NFS works will not be accepted.
• Media: Oil, Watercolor, Acrylic, Pastel, Color Pencil, Pen & Ink, Encaustic, Mixed Media, Fiber  Arts, Collage/Assemblage, Printmaking, Photography, Sculpture, Ceramics

HOW TO ENTER:

• Entry Fee: $25 for SCAA Members and $30 for Nonmembers for up to three (3) artworks.
• Image Requirements: Submit high resolution jpeg images, at least 300 dpi @ 6” x 8”. Each jpeg must be labeled with the artist’s last name, 1^st name initial, title of work, medium, and size.  3-D artists may submit 2 additional jpegs per piece, labeled “title with detail1, “title with detail2”.
• Online Submission: Images may be submitted online together with interactive entry form and secured fees through PayPal
• Mail/Hand-Delivered Submission: Email jpegs to [email protected] with the following artist information:  Artist Name, Address, email, phone number. Mail or hand-deliver Entry Form and check for entry fee made payable to SCAA 2016 NJE, 5239 Floyd Road, Mableton, GA 30126, Attention: SCAA Curator.

DELIVERY/SHIPPING AND HANDLING:

• Attach your label or business card to the back upper right corner of each accepted piece when delivered or shipped. Include Phone #, Title, Medium, and Price
• Hand Delivery: The artist or designated agent may bring accepted artwork to MHAC, 5239 Floyd Rd., Mableton, GA 30126, Tuesday, October 18, 11- 4 pm.
• Shipped work must be in a sturdy re-shippable container, sent via Fed Ex only. Fed Ex will hold all works at no extra cost for 5 business days, at which time volunteers for the exhibition will pick up the work and deliver it to the gallery.
