CALL TO SAN JUAN COUNTY ARTISTS

IMA, the San Juan Islands Museum of Art is presently setting up an IMA Online San Juan County Artists’ Registry for all County Visual Artists on www.sjima.org.

This Artists’ Registry will provide a resource for the public, art connoisseurs and affiliations who wish to connect with artists living in our rich and varied artistic community on the San Juan Islands. The Artist Registry, located on the IMA Website will give each Artist Member a display page which includes the Artist’s Name, a short biography, contact information, an image of their artwork, and a link to their individual website, gallery affiliations, and other websites where they are listed.

The Online San Juan County Artists Registry provides excellent exposure for emerging and well-established artists in San Juan County and supplies connections to collectors and interested art lovers, both locally and beyond our shores. IMA has additional programs and opportunities “in the works” for artists who belong to the Artists’ Registry which will be announced at a later date.

The IMA Artists’ Registry will also provide ongoing educational experiences especially designed for artists and will promote awareness of the arts on the Islands as destination points for art lovers and patrons. These activities fulfill the mission of IMA, the San Juan Islands Museum of Art. We hope to welcome many of our local artists on board as Artist Friends of the Museum and Sculpture Park through these efforts. We will all share in the growth of our area, as it becomes a destination for the arts.
