The Starry Night Residency Program provides artists, writers, and curators the opportunity to live and work within a small, creative community. Located in the downtown historic hot springs district of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, the program is a place where our participants can find quiet solitude and focus on their work in a peaceful environment. Financial aid is available.

Residency timeframes are a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 8 weeks, for the Spring and Summer sessions of 2019. Applicants may request early consideration if they wish to attend before May 1st, 2019.

The residency includes a private, fully furnished apartment with private bathroom and kitchen, shared studio space, and courtyard with gardens, barbecue, and campfire area. Emerging artists, writers, and arts administrators are encouraged to apply. Participants may apply to bring their partners or a creative team member for the duration of their residency.
There is no application fee.

Residency Program

Eligibility: Emerging and established visual artists, artist teams, writers, researchers and curators.

Financial Aid: Based on merit and documented need, there is limited financial aid available. Financial aid requests cannot exceed more than 50% of fees for residency, and cannot include costs of travel, etc.

Residency fees: The cost for residency is $900 per week. Participants may apply to bring their partner, spouse, or creative partner for an additional $300 per week. Payment plans are available, and early consideration is available upon request.
