Juror: Chris McCarthy is currently Executive Director of the Provincetown Art Association and Museum in Provincetown, MA. She is responsible for all artistic, administrative, fiscal and strategic directions of the largest presenter of Outer Cape art by national, regional and international artists. Since 1990, Chris has worked in numerous galleries and museums in New England.
Theme: Artwork for this exhibition should have to do with the North Eastern part of the United States. Whether it is beautiful summer landscape’s or intense winter storms that interest you, we would like to see all that it has to offer.
Categories for original work: Painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, photography, ceramics, fiber, metals, glass, wood, printmaking and collage.
Eligibility:
– Original artwork only.
– Work cannot have been shown in the New Bedford area within the last two years.
– All artwork must be for sale or for order The ArtWorks! Gallery takes a 30% commission on the sale of members work and 40% on non-members work. Please price your work accordingly.
– Each artist may submit up to three pieces. No size limitations, though we will edit if the space dictates. Sculptures may not weigh more than 50 pounds.
– Work must be suitably framed and wired for hanging.
Registration fees: Please complete and return the registration form with payment to ArtWorks! 384 Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford, MA 02740 by May 1, 2013.
Fee for each entry is $10 each or 3 for $25; up to 3 artworks may be submitted. Make checks payable to ArtWorks!. Fees are non-refundable.
Electronic entries: Entries must be submitted electronically. You must send your images in by May 1st to [email protected]. Files should be named as follows: first initial, last name, abbreviated title, number 1-3. In your email include name, phone number, e-mail address, and number of images. Images titles must match the title on the registration form.
Receiving of accepted work: Work will be received on July 10th from 9-5pm at 384 Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford, MA 02740. Artwork will not be accepted before or after the date. If you are shipping your work it must arrive prior to or on July 10th with a pre-paid return shipping form. ArtWorks! will not incur any shipping expenses.
Opening: The exhibit runs from July 16 – August 28, 2013. The Opening Reception will be held on Friday July 26th from 5-7pm.
Close of Show: Work may not be removed before the close of the gallery on the last day of the show. Work must be picked up on August 29th. Work not picked up by August 30th is left at owners’ risk and could be subject to storage fees of $10 per day.
Liability: Every reasonable care will be taken in the handling and storage of the works submitted.

Calendar:
Registration form and fees and electronic entries must be received by ArtWorks! by May 1, 2013 by 5pm. Images must be sent to [email protected] by May 1st at 7pm.
Notification of acceptance will be emailed to artist by June 11th.
Accepted work must be dropped off to ArtWorks! gallery by July 10th by 5pm.
Opening reception is July 26th from 5-7pm.
Pick up of exhibited work is Thursday August 29th from 9-5. Work may not be removed before the close of gallery on the last day of the show.
