This show questions the meaning of being a Native American in terms of the conditions of Native Nations across the country. These pieces, all created by those who have experienced the reality of being Native in America, give a realistic view of what being a native means to them. It can be as political/non or positive/negative as the artist desires. However, artwork should capture the current state of emotion, action or inaction, peace, violence, etc. that affects their specific area’s atmosphere. It should be commentary on what the individual would change about their specific situation, or the situation of natives as a whole nation wide.
