Lillstreet Gallery is please to announce its first juried exhibition of photography, titled “Midwest Contemporary.” Photographers residing in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin are invited to submit work for possible inclusion in the exhibition. All subject matter and photographic processes are welcome. All accepted work must framed in a professional manner with hanging wire (no saw tooth hangers). Work must be framed using Plexiglas, not glass, and maximum frame size is 40 inches on the longest side.
About the Jurors: Natasha Egan is the Director of the Museum of Contemporary Photography (MoCP) at Columbia College Chicago. Karen Irvine is Curator and Associate Director at the MoCP. As the leading photography museum in the Midwest, the MoCP offers students, educators, research specialists, and general audiences an intimate and comprehensive visual study center.
