The PleinAir Salon $50,000 Art Competition is an online competition consisting of 11 monthly cycles of competitions and one annual competition. We award over $50,000 in All Cash prizes each year for this competition. The Annual Grand Prize winner receives a check for $15,000 and is featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine. We award an additional $11,050 to the annual winners and award $2,250 in the monthly competitions. Each of the 22 monthly winners will be automatically entered into the Annual Competition. The annual awards are presented live at the Plein Air Convention & Expo each spring.

Each of our monthly winners receive cash prizes, promotion in PleinAir Magazine, both print and digital. PleinAir is the #1 representational art magazine at Barnes & Noble. Winners are also promoted in the digital edition of Fine Art Connoisseur, our magazine for art collectors. Artists also receive editorial coverage in our newsletters and websites. The Grand Prize winner of the Annual competition receives $15,000 and has their painting featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine. All annual winners receive coverage in our magazines, newsletters and websites.
