Jury/Judges: Jurying will take place between Feb. 14 and Feb. 16, 2014. Prizes will be issued for the best works ($100 for First Place, $60 for Second, $40 for Third).

Our jurors are: Scott Burk, part owner of Seattle’s Blindfold Gallery; Tracy Cilona, owner of West Seattle’s Twilight Gallery and instructor at Photo Center NW; Deborah Conger Hughes, former faculty at the University of Washington and member of the UW Photography Group; and Joan Bowers, independent photographer.

Selection Process: Selection will be based on the quality of the work, including technical execution, composition, and creativity, and how the piece fits in with the theme of the show (“Light and Memory”). There will be a preference for photography featuring light and springtime/rebirth motifs, but this is not required for acceptance.

Notification of Acceptance: A/NT Gallery will notify all artists not later than Feb. 17, 2014.

Delivery: All selected artwork will be delivered to A/NT Gallery on February 23-25, 2014, between 11AM and 6PM. If the artist is unable to deliver on those dates, they will need to make arrangements with the gallery.

2D framed media must have hanging wire. A/NT Gallery will provide pedestals for 3D artwork, if required. We are unable to provide shielded cases, projectors, televisions, stereos, or other devices for multimedia artwork. The gallery is also unable to setup and tear down installation works. If such works are accepted, we will inform the artist what additional requirements will be needed to setup their work in the gallery.

If an artist needs to ship the artwork to the gallery, all shipping costs and packaging will be the artist’s responsibility. We require that shipped art is framed with plexiglass, if glass is needed. The artist will also be responsible for return shipping costs. Though the gallery will take great care in handling all artwork, the gallery will not be responsible for damage done to the artwork during shipping, packing, and unpacking.

Reception: The opening reception will be at the gallery on March 1, 2014, between 6PM and 10PM.

Exhibit or Event Ends: March 30, 2014

Participating artists will also be encouraged to invite friends and followers. The gallery will be providing wine, refreshments, and entertainment for this event.
