Encaustic Nature in Art – Call for Artists

The Art Center – Highland Park is currently seeking artists whose work captures the beauty of nature reflected in art. Inspired by the mystery and wonder of the natural world. Open to all artists age 18 & up. All original works created by submitting artists in the last 5 years. Open to only encaustics. The exhibition will take place in TAC’s Fireplace Gallery. Juried by artist / educator Jenny Learner. In conjunction with this exhibit, Jenny Learner will conduct a one day workshop on Saturday, March 15th from 12:30-4:30pm at TAC, registration is available online or over the phone (847) 432-1888

About the Juror:

Chicagoan Jenny Learner has been making art for her entire life. Classically trained at the American Academy of Art and self-taught in interior, surface design & photography. For over 30 years this multi-faceted artist has been designing custom room dividers, screens, hand-painted wall coverings, fabrics, murals, & site-specific art for interior designers and architects. She exhibits, teaches, curates, and juries locally and nationally.
