The (e)merge art fair connects emerging-art professionals from around the globe with collectors, curators and cultural decision makers in Washington, DC.

(e)merge art fair is accepting applications from artists currently without gallery representation, who have not yet had a SOLO exhibition at a major museum or kunsthalle, to exhibit work at the fair in Washington, DC. Artists whose applications are selected by the vetting committee will receive exhibition space at the fair free of charge. Whereas work in all media will be carefully considered, projects involving experimental works in non-traditional formats are especially encouraged. Such work may include installation, conceptual art, performance, new media, or the inventive use of materials to express challenging concepts.

Last year’s fair, the second edition of (e)merge, featured art presented by an international roster of over 80 exhibitors, showing 152 artists from 24 countries.

The 2013 fair will take place October 3-6 at the Capitol Skyline Hotel in Washington, DC within blocks of the U.S. Capitol Building and several of the nation’s leading museums. The GALLERY PLATFORM features galleries and nonprofit art spaces in Hotel rooms on designated floors and the ARTIST PLATFORM will feature a vetted selection of works in a variety of media by unrepresented artists throughout the Hotel’s public areas.
