The Marlborough Arts Center invites you, and other regional artists, to participate in our “East of the River Juried Art Show” of fine art at 231 North Main Street in Marlborough, Connecticut. The exhibition runs from April 21 – May 6, 2017 and will offer over $1000 in awards. The Juror and Awards Judge is Bill Colrus, a graduate of Paier College of Art who taught there for 33 years while also being known as a fine arts award-winning artist throughout the region.
This “East of the River Juried Art Show” has some particularly special elements beyond the anticipated high quality of the art work. It will include an evening of a Special Viewing by professionals and business personnel.

To aid in the sale of the art works, the Marlborough Arts Center has decided on a commission of only 20%. And, there will also be a Silent Auction during the Opening Reception on April 21 that will add a new touch to the pleasure for the public, family and friends who always enjoy the opportunity to meet and talk personally with the artists over refreshments.
Receiving dates for your art are April 13 and 15, with full details on submission, the calendar, and entry forms in the attached Prospectus. Please feel free to share this Prospectus with fellow artists.

The Marlborough Arts Center is a non-profit regional center for the arts that is housed in an historic building surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds and adjoined by an ART PARK in its second phase of development. The Arts Center is also accessible and provides ample parking. For more information about the many activities and events you may visit the website at www.marlborougharts.org or leave a telephone message at (860) 295-9389 and a member if the Board of Directors will return your call.
