DESCRIPTION
Dreams consist of a series of thoughts, images and sensations during sleep. Psychologists often look at dreams as a connection to the unconscious mind and have analyzed them for insight into a patient’s hidden desires and motives. Surrealist artists have sought to channel dreams as a means to unlock the power of the imagination. Where have your dreams taken you? Who have you met in your dreams? Have you acquired superhuman powers in your dreams? Have you met deceased loved ones and had conversations with them? Do your pets talk to you? Do you dream in black and white or in technicolor? Are your dreams nebulous? Are your dreams dark, frightening or bizarre? Show us how you capture your dreams and express them in your art. We are seeking works that address the broad spectrum of dreams, from abstraction to narrative to surrealism.
