The Foundry Art Centre is seeking submissions for “Dirty Fingernails IV”, an exhibition celebrating ‘pure’ printmaking. Showcasing the skill and patience of artists who, in an age of seductive high speed solutions, still prefer to work up a sweat and get their hands dirty. Printmakers are welcome to submit up to three works for consideration. Images may be representational, abstract, or nonobjective. Only original, hand-pulled prints will be considered for inclusion.

Artists are invited to submit up to three pieces of artwork, and must be submitted by December 16th, 2019. “Dirty Fingernails IV” will have an Opening Reception on Friday, January 31st, 2020, from 5:30-8pm in the Grand Hall. The exhibition will be on display from January 31st, 2020 to March 13th 2020. Three prizes will be awarded at the Opening Reception: two Juror’s Choice Awards, and a Going Solo Award that offers the recipient a solo exhibition in one of our galleries. The Going Solo Award winner from the “Out on a Limb” exhibition, Sharon Hutson, will be showcasing her landscape and portrait watercolor paintings in Gallery III during the opening.
The exhibitions are free and open to the public.
