2020, a presidential election year, marks the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment allowing women in the United States the right to vote. Consider the courage it takes for human beings to fight against socially accepted or governmentally imposed policies of inequality. This exhibit will explore the freedom to vote – or the lack thereof – in the U.S. and beyond. Consider the power of one voice to proclaim inequality, and the combination of many voices to bring about change in society.
