The François Schneider Foundation has launched the 2nd edition of “Contemporary Talents”, an international contemporary art prize, which enables each year to discover seven works of art by seven international artists implicated in the various disciplines of visual arts. For the first edition, last year, 1029 candidates took part, from 35 countries on 5 continents. The Foundation wishes to have even more international artists for this second edition.

François Schneider wishes to support contemporary creation worldwide through the acquisition of works of art which focus particularly on the theme of water. Indeed, this will be a recurring theme in all the events initiated by the Foundation. Whether with regard to the art centre of the foundation which is to open in Spring 2013 (in Alsace 6 FRANCE. Wattwiller > the “water village”).

The contribution of “Talents contemporains” is one of the largest in Europe (300,000 Euros) and enables a vast acquisition programme to be carried out. “Contemporary Talents” therefore invites artists from all over the world to submit their proposals until December 15, 2012.
