82nd ANNUAL OPEN JURIED EXHIBITION June 19 – July 16, 2011 Jorgensen Gallery University of Connecticut Storrs, CT www.ctwomenartists.org Juror of Selection and Awards: Dr. Fereshteh Daftari AWARDS: $1,000 in cash prizes ELIGIBLE WORK: This show is open to all women artists regardless of place of residence. Original work in oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, mixed media, collage, graphics, photography, sculpture. Photomechanical reproductions of original work (giclee prints) are not eligible. SUBMISSIONS: All work will be judged by CD entry. Files must be in .jpg format, 300dpi, max 900 pixels in any dimension. File name should correspond to the title of the piece. Work must be suitably framed and wired for hanging. No complex installations or clip frames. Sculpture must include a well-balanced pedestal and weigh less than 100 lbs. No accepted work may be removed prior to the show’s conclusion. All work must be picked up on the dates indicated. SHIPPING OF ACCEPTED WORK: For accepted works that cannot be delivered in person, artists will receive complete shipping instructions with their notice of acceptance. Note: The Show Committee reserves the right to disallow the exhibition of any work which, in the opinion of the Committee, is considered detrimental to the good public image of the show and its sponsors, which is too fragile to handle, or which is not accurately represented by the slide submitted. ENTRY FEES: CWA Members – First entry free, additional entries $15 each (Members must have paid their 2011 dues in full) Non-Members – First entry $25, additional entries $15 each MEMBERSHIP: Women artists residing in Connecticut are eligible for membership after acceptance in two CWA Open Juried Exhibitions or by portfolio review.
