About the Exhibition In honor of our 90th year, the Oak Park Art League (OPAL) is proud to present the Carriage House Gallery National Juried Exhibition, a competition for artists 18 and over. The show is open to all mediums except photography and computer generated artwork of any kind. Hand-pulled prints in numbered editions are permitted. Sokol is professor emeritus of the Department of Art History at UIC, where he taught and was the Department Chairperson for seventeen years. He was the first curator of the Terra Museum of American Art and Acting Director of both Terra Museum and Spertus Museum. He has been guest curator and museum consultant for many other museums as well. He currently chairs the Oak Park Public Art Advisory Commission.
