Are you a talented chalk artist interested in bringing the Boston community together through the arts?

Art Resource Collaborative for Kids (ARCK) is hosting an all-day art event on May 4, 2019 from 2pm-7pm at David Ortiz Drive in Boston’s Fenway Neighborhood.

The Miles of Murals festival will bring together Boston-area arts organizations and nonprofits for a full day of art activities, music, dancing, and food free to the Boston Public. Our overall mission is to raise awareness for the necessity of arts education in Boston Public Schools as well as show how the arts can build bridges between the diverse members of our community. More about ARCK:

Art Resource Collaborative for Kids (ARCK) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that brings free arts integration lessons to Boston Public Schools in underserved communities. Our lessons, which are centered on leadership, civic engagement, and social justice, build the social-emotional skills such as critical thinking and empathy necessary for shaping the next generation of creative leaders. As part of ARCK’s programming, eighty seventh grade students in collaboration with local artists created a mural entitled “Paredes Que Hablan” (Walls that Speak). The mural depicted the students’ experiences with both physical and metaphorical walls in the hopes of a future filled with communication and empathy. At Miles of Murals, a new group of seventh grade students along with artists Cedric Douglas and Percy Fortini-Wright will unveil two new murals.
