Call for Artists: Design a Mini-Golf Hole for The Other Art Fair Dallas
The Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Art
Entry Deadline: Mar. 5
Open Call for Artists for The Other Open, an immersive art experience of mini-golf holes, each individually designed and built by a DFW-based artist and fully playable by Fair visitors.
This is your chance to turn your artistic vision into an interactive installation that merges art and play. Selected artists will conceptualize, design, and fabricate their own mini-golf hole, to be featured as part of a playable feature at the fair.
The Other Open will be part of the Fair programming for The Other Art Fair Dallas, May 7-10, 2026 at Dallas Market Hall.
The Other Art Fair is a global gathering of creative thinkers, game changers and pleasure seekers sharing emerging talent and unforgettable experiences.
Set against the backdrop of the world’s biggest cities, each of our fairs is different. We combine boundary-pushing yet always accessible artworks from over 100+ independent artists like you, with immersive installations, performances and a few curious encounters. The result is an inspiring, evocative, inclusive and fun event that reframes how art can be perceived and creates lasting connections between artists and art lovers.
We’ve been dedicated to representing independent artists since 2011 The Other Art Fair and since then have worked with over 3,000 artists from more than 30 countries. We host 12 in-person fairs each year across the UK, US and Australia.
For this project we’re looking for:
-Bold, creative, and engaging designs
-Playable and functional mini-golf holes
-Designs should reflect your unique artistic voice, be visually engaging, and/or conceptually interesting
-Bonus points for interactivity, humor, narrative, or Dallas-inspired elements
-No branded or commercial content unless part of a fair approved partnership.
-Durable construction suitable for thousands of fairgoers
A $500 project fee will be provided to each selected artist.
This is a high-visibility opportunity, with extensive foot traffic, press attention, and social media coverage.
