Boater’s Maritime Festival Art Show

The Greater Port Jefferson – Northern Brookhaven Arts Council, a non-profit community organization, invites Long Island artists (all media) to exhibit their artwork and fine crafts at The Third Annual Boater’s Maritime Festival to be held on May 4th and May 5th, 2014. This event is free to the public, and will feature over 50 boats on display, sailing demos, harbor cruises, fishing and outdoor seminars, a clam shucking and eating contest, a touch tank and live entertainment. All events will take place at the Harborfront Park in the Village of Port Jefferson.
Exhibition time will be from 11:00am – 6:00pm, not including setup / breakdown time. Artists may participate one day, or both days for the same application fee. This is an outdoor event. Artists will be required to supply their own racks, easels, pop-up tents, tables and chairs. Staked tents are not permitted. Family friendly art only.
Artists must submit an application including up to three examples of their work in jpeg format on CD (or emailed to [email protected]), a bio / statement, and a $20 participation fee, no later than April 25th, 2014. Participants will receive a free GPJAC membership.
The fee will be waived for existing GPJAC members. If you have previously submitted examples of your work, then send application and fee only.
