THE PROJECT
Date of Completion: December 2018
The vision for this project is to add a permanent exterior installation of public artwork that will be a transforming and interactive experience. It will give participants a chance to discover their own creativity and realize that each of us has talents worthy of expression. The exterior space where the artwork is to be installed is an area of approximately 28’ x 35’ and can be used in part or in total. The space is located to the west of the library’s main entrance with high visibility from the main road, Hilltop Circle, that serves the library. Anythink Perl Mack is located in the Perl Mack Manor neighborhood in northern Denver, Colorado. It covers an area of 1.082 square miles and is home to a population of 7,783 residents.
Anythink is seeking an artistic vision for this space that:
• Enhances the experience for visitors to the Anythink Perl Mack library.
• Creates a sense of place and pride by establishing a distinctive cultural landmark in the community.
• Is interactive in a way that surprises and delights participants.
• Is inclusive and intergenerational.
• Preferably utilizes sound and/or music as a transforming and ever-changing component to the piece.
• Is compatible with the space in terms of scale, material, form, content and safety.
• Complies with city and county light and sound ordinances (Federal Heights, Adams County).

In addition to a permanent art installation, we ask that the artist, with the assistance of the Anythink Collaborative Public Art Committee and the Department of Innovations and Brand
Strategy, develops and conducts a relevant workshop or series of workshops at the Anythink Perl Mack library. These experiences should give participants of all ages an opportunity to discover and express their creativity.
