Abstract art or abstraction is still a definition to be determined. It can represent the simplification of subject to its purest abstract shapes or an arrangement of the elements and principles of design to create a cohesive composition. It can be an experiment with materials limited only by the artist’s mind and the time the artist has to spend on it. It could also be a conceptual piece in the form of an installation or theory, but no matter how it is defined it is an all encompassing category for this month’s show.

All 2-D & 3-D artwork in any media and genre as well as images of 3-dimensional fine art installations are accepted and encouraged. Video is excluded at this time. Jury will by collaboration of the staff of Bauhaus Prairie Art Gallery.
