GRACE, the 2013 Kreft Juried National Exhibition, As both a noun and verb, grace is a resonant and capacious word, one that suggests both condition and action, form and motion, adornment and manifestation. At once profoundly spiritual and the heart of Christian belief, the term also denotes elegance and beauty of form, manner, and movement, and thus encompasses the physical, natural, and material. As a gesture of favor or kindness, it touches on the moral, ethical, and social worlds. Our hope this year is to present events that both explore and embody the concept of “grace” in many of its dimensions. Prints, drawings, paintings, photographs, digital images, sculpture, video, etc. are eligible.
Only original artwork produced within the past five years will be accepted—reproductions are not permitted. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
