The Associated Artists of Pittsburgh 106th Annual Exhibition will be held this fall, September 13th – October 27th, at the SouthSide Works Development. The Annual Exhibition is also open to non-members to submit their work for consideration. Artists must reside in or maintain a studio within a 150-mile radius of Pittsburgh. Upon acceptance to the Annual, the artist receives AAP membership.

The deadline for submissions is by 11:59 pm on Monday, August 6, 2018.

There is a $100 fee per entry for non-members. Applicants are allowed to submit 1-2 pieces per entry. Works must have been produced within the last two years and may not have been exhibited within the Pittsburgh area in that time. All works must be for sale. For each artwork, members must include title, date, medium, dimensions (framed), and price of work. Submissions without the required information cannot be evaluated.

Size restrictions are 8 ft x 8 ft for 2D works. The height of 3D works cannot exceed 7 feet and the width cannot exceed 6 ft. Please keep in mind that, like with any exhibition space, wall space is limited, and the Annual typically showcases between 40-60 works.

The following materials are restricted from entry: live or dead plant materials, organic materials such as food products that will decompose during the exhibit, and any material that shows evidence of insect infestation or mold growth. For installation work, please submit images of the project, a proposal, and state the total space requirement. For film and other similar forms, artists must provide the necessary equipment needed to view the film for the duration of the exhibition

Artists will be notified on Sunday, August 26, 2018 if their work was selected. If selected, artists will be provided with drop-off times between September 7 -10, 2018 at the site.
