TheArtGuide.com, LLC (…TAG, Art Guide, we, our, site) is committed to protecting the personal information that you provide when visiting the http://www.theartguide.com and www.theartguideonline.com. Use of this Site after a notice is posted complies with your agreement to all noted Policy changes. Please be certain to read and follow the terms that directly affect your use of TAG and interaction with the site.

TheArtGuide.com is a website designed to support, promote and encourage the growth of art and spirit of creativity in every community and art organization of every small town and city throughout the United States and internationally. We welcome the interaction and sharing of art information through text and images of art events, exhibitions and calls for artists at no cost to our viewers or those who post. TheArtGuide.com does not and will not openly promote personal, religious or political organizations or any agenda that includes social causes with the intention to endorse specific segments of society.

 

Collection of Personal Internet Information

Collection of Data for Posting a Listing The Art Guide registration process for posting, collects data to the Site when a User voluntarily provides basic information such as address, email, phone numbers, User name and titles. By choosing to become a Featured Artist or Featured Gallery of the site, information will be submitted of the Members’ own accord and for the purpose of promoting an Art Guide web page listing. If the individual chooses to submit an entry for the position of a “Featured” artist or gallery, by posting a listing for approval, the information will be accepted as their design and construction of a dedicated TAG web page.

Posting of Featured Artist and Gallery Due to the personal development and creative process of posting a listing to The Art Guide Featured pages for Artist, Gallery or banner ad; members cannot be offer a financial refund or in-kind return once a submission is approved. The Art Guide will not be held responsible for any interaction between the User/Member of a featured TAG page and a third party participant or entity. Emails, sales and communicated exchange of any type or nature as a result of posting a listing or featured position in The Art Guide, LLC, are solely the responsibility of that Member and do not require communication or contact with TAG staff, principal, associated entities or internet web site.

If a User decides to accept a position as Featured Artist, Gallery or general user, your Information will be reviewed by a TAG team member to confirm their technical entry input and acceptance to the site. In special instances, information can be transferred between the Site and additional third party organizations for the purpose of facilitating the artist work, information and promotion of The Art Guide, LLC.

Wrongful Information Posting The Art Guide, LLC may also use submitted entry information for the purpose of contacting a User to inform them of updates and site activities that directly affect their entries and posted information or activities related to the site. The Art Guide Principal holds true the discretion and responsibility to terminate or deactivate a User’s entry and active data, based on the consideration of illegal or inappropriate posted information by a User as an action that is in violation of these terms.

 

Targeted Information Gathering

The Art Guide, LLC may use “cookies” to facilitate the Users access to the Site. A cookie is a small amount of data stored at your computer and recognized by a browser. Cookies allow for fast transfer of your account information as well as search and examine internet traffic and development. The User can disable this function through their browsers, which could potentially limit access to The Art Guide web site.

 

Web Site Security

The Art Guide, LLC and its programming agency attempts to safeguard and maintain this web site through the use of advanced security programming. The TAG system is designed for protection against unauthorized access, however it is understood that despite secured safety measures and storage methods all internet programming are susceptible to unplanned intrusions. Information provided to TAG and all operations therein, are stored using servers located in the United States.

The Art Guide uses log files which include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses and all aforementioned programming devices are not linked to personally identifiable information.

 

Update and Surveillance of Posted Information

The Art Guide is not responsible for the accuracy and revisions of individual profiles and postings. It is the sole responsibility of every User and Feature Artist /Gallery Member to maintain current information appropriate for public viewing. All User and members may review and modify their entries at any time from within their account. Users can log onto their account and request deactivation or termination, recognizing that financial refunds are not possible through the existing system. Once deactivated, your account will be deleted from the TAG system data files.

The Art Guide Responsible Use Policy Team members of The Art Guide are given the responsibility and authority to oversee the User and Featured account information and photographs. Submissions for Event, Exhibition, Call for Entry, Featured Artist and Featured Gallery will, in every case, will be reviewed and approved by a member of The Art Guide staff. All posted text and pictorial information will be evaluated for correct content and presentation prior to approval. It is at the sole discretion of The Art Guide staff to provide consent for every submitted entry.

User/Member Deactivation The Art Guide does make it possible for posted members to update their approved listing at any time. It is therefore customary and accepted practice for TAG staff to randomly evaluate text and pictorial content of all photos and art work stored to the site. Information that is found to be inappropriate for viewing will be removed immediately, without consent of the TAG User, and that account may be deactivated or terminated based on the judgment of The Art Guide principal.

 

TAG Use of Provided Art Work

The Art Guide reserves the right to use any photos or pictures of paintings provided by Feature listings and basic user postings for the purpose of TAG home page images, associated TAG internet pages or third party internet promotional devices such as Facebook or Twitter. To request the use of, or prevent photos from being used for TAG promotional purposes, please contact The Art Guide by email at [email protected].

Authorization of Payments

The Art Guide accepts payment for promotion of Feature Artist, Featured Gallery, Home Page Art and Banner Listings, as well as general donations by Users who frequently visit or post to the site. Currently, there are two options for payment which include the use of PayPal, a secured standard in merchant and financial exchange, and payment by check or money order. Checks should be made to The Art Guide, LLC c/o Mary Kee and sent to The Art Guide, LLC, PO Box 943, Trumbull CT, 06611. Payments directed to the TAG site are first approved by the Principal of The Art Guide and processed through official, secured banking channels. Refunds are not provided due to the personal development and the creative process involved in posting an interactive TAG user web page.

In posting any material on TAG, you represent that you have the intellectual property rights to do so.
