I came to pottery after 20 years in neuroscience, first at Cornell and then at Yale. I bring the intellectual rigor and curiosity requisite for my laboratory research to the craft and art of pottery. My pieces in this show as well as their maker are works in progress. Though the pots are necessarily frozen in time upon firing, their maker continues striving to develop and improve.
