Presented by Gregory James Gallery

CHRISTOPHER MAGADINI Magadini has said, “For me, painting is not simply the replication of what the eye sees. It is the creation of an image that embodies my thoughts and feelings. These, I think, are fairly universal, and I seek to communicate and connect with viewers on that level.” Magadini is a plein air painter who lives in Croton-on-Hudson, New York but was born in Great Barrington, MA and raised in Palm Springs, California and lived in Los Angeles and Phoenix. He graduated from The Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles and pursued commercial illustration in Stockholm, Sweden and later in Arizona where he also taught art at Northern Arizona State University. After receiving a full fellowship to Syracuse University, Magadini came east to earn a M.F.A. degree. He moved to the New York area to further his career as a free-lance illustrator. His credits include illustration for Reader’s Digest Books, Angels, Field & Stream, Boating, Audubon, Women’s Day and others. He has designed stamps for the United Nations and illustrated books. He lives in Croton-on-Hudson, NY, and summers in the Adirondacks.
