by Maksim Koloskov

Opening Reception and meeting with the artist: Friday, April 7, 7:30p.m.

Maksim Koloskov is a graduate of famous architecture school – Moscow Architectural Institute (State Academy) – MarchI. He lives in Houston since 1995.

Maksim is the author of the beautiful murals on the exterior walls of the Russian Cultural Center.

The upcoming exhibit will showcase his city drawings.

You rarely will see Maksim Koloskov without a sketchbook with him. Maksim enjoys doing quick sketches wherever he is, and whatever catches his eye.
He might pause for few minutes of sketching while walking on a street, or pull out sketchbook standing in a line in grocery store to sketch an interesting character, or at the rock concert standing next to the stage.

Most of the drawings done with ink and watercolor.

For this show Maksim has selected sketches which he did mostly around Houston downtown.
