“It’s About Time”, A Solo 60 year Retrospective of Sam Bartman at 95- at Gallery 66 NY. Bartman is an outsider and self-taught experimentalist whose paintings are bold, exuberant, skillful and engaging. Bartman early on broke the rules by mixing resin, varnishes, automotive paints, and artists’ oils with water based pigments and mediums, to create reproducible chemical reactions that form the basis for his dramatic impasto brushwork and floating colors.

An Opening Reception for the artist is 6-9 p.m, Friday April 7th and runs thru April 30th. The artist will be present at various times throughout the exhibition.
