Boston Sculptors Gallery is pleased to present the opening of two concurrent solo shows, Drift by artist Marilu Swett & Sculpture in the Unmaking by artist Susan Lyman.

Sweat’s solo show Drift is a rumination about things afloat or beached, buried or layered over, un-tethered and unwoven, the work in Drift pops, bulges, hangs, sags, weaves, and peers out enigmatically. Comprised of a rainbow of colors and materials, the work reflects the energy and unexpected juxtapositions of coastal life.

Lyman’s solo exhibition Sculpture in the Unmaking features 15 new sculptures made from found and milled wood, as well as oil paintings on panel, the exhibition is largely comprised of works reduced and reinvented from Lyman’s sculptures of the past 30 years.
