In three short hours, plein air artists must draw on their knowledge of drawing, value, color and composition and produce a painting. Like poetry or a sprint, this is painting at it’s most concentrated as artists must focus on the essentials. It is not easy, but the results cannot be duplicated any other way. Weather permitting, this class will meet on site at various locations on the north shore. First class meets at Byfield Community Art Center for a short slideshow before heading out.
