The Art Museum, USJ invites you to join us Sunday, April 2 for a bus trip to The Tenement Museum, NYC and a Walking Tour of the Lower East Side. At the Tenement Museum there will be a guided tour of the Irish Outsiders. The tour engages the living conditions, social struggles and personal stories of the Irish beginning as early as the 1820s. Through their experience, you’ll discover how immigrants from different backgrounds forge their own American identities. N.B.

Please be aware this tour involves climbing several flights of stairs. Then, beginning with the Henry Street Settlement and finishing in Washington Square Park, art collector Ken Ratner will lead a walking tour of New York’s Lower East Side touching upon key places of historic interest and those spots that influenced the artists of the early 20th century. The cost for this trip is $78 (non-members) or $72 (Friends of the Art Museum). Registrations must be received by March 24th.
