After leaving school in 1982, Simon joined the crew of an English fishing boat, reaffirming his lifelong relationship with the sea. When he had managed to save enough money, he bought a 14’ rowing boat, fulfilling his ambition to work alone and become one with the natural environment. Now, with more than 25 years of experience, Simon Kenevan has found his vocabulary, via pigment and paper, brush and canvas. Working with pastels, and oils, precious moments are relived through the creative process. Each subsequent painting has its own resonance, unique to each and every viewer.
