In the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts’ latest exhibition, “Anonymous Women: Camouflage and Calamity,” photographer Patty Carroll confronts the complicated and changing relationship between women and domesticity.

Carroll’s work features luxe studio installations made for the camera. By camouflaging female mannequins with drapery and domestic objects, Carroll creates a dark and humorous game of hide-and-seek between her viewers and the Anonymous Women.

Carroll will speak about her work in a lecture at the museum at 6 p.m. on April 27. The lecture is free for members while regular museum admission fees apply for not-yet-members.

The exhibition will run through June 30 at the downtown Tampa museum and is generously sponsored by Lorna Taylor.
