Through guided instruction, participants explore intuitive and experimental abstraction while painting a full spectrum of papers, learning some color theory along the way. Siegel will then provide some art history with examples of finished collages by well known artists, and demonstrate techniques for working in the medium of collage to build surface texture and color. There are no mistakes, there are no rules. Try new things, improvise, think outside the lines, adjust and revise – forge your own path and creation!
