A mixture of old and new, Now Or Neverland: Ode To Hip Hop serves as a visual representation of a genre that influenced a generation. Celebrating 45 years since inception, Hip Hop should be reflected in exhibiting works at varying stages of growth. Artists are encouraged to deconstruct the genre by exploration of the five elements: MCing, DJing, BBoy (Breaking), Graffiti, and Knowledge. Staying true to MUCE ‘s Now or Neverland Art Fair, artwork should reflect the parallels of the artist’s fantastical perspectives of reality and the influence of Hip Hop culture in their lives. Themes considered for exhibition also include the musical and political foundations of hip hop such as: Jazz, R&B, Soul, sampling, socioeconomics disparities, urban living, etc.

Artists are overall encouraged to submit work that depicts Hip Hop’s influence in fashion, music, dance, culture, politics, fads & trends over the past 4 and half decades. The exhibit is open to honor and to critique of the genre.
