For the past twelve years Hygienic Art has collaborated with New London SailFest to incorporate an additional artistic element into the city’s largest weekend festival. Hygienic Artisans will occupy Bank Street between Golden and Pearl to create an atmosphere of art and culture by recruiting artists, DIY crafters, makers, and unconventional vendors.

In true Hygienic spirit, the Hygienic Artisan Market (formerly Bizarre Bazaar) is a festive, outdoor market space where people can expect the unexpected, and unearth signature crafts from artisans who create the unusual as well as beautiful.

Similar to the mission behind Hygienic Art’s first show 35 years ago, “to bring art to the common man,” Hygienic’s participation in SailFest continues to spotlight and share creative ideas and art with the community.

This year prizes will be awarded to best in show for each artistic category — voted on by the people and the sponsor committee! There will be a breakfast Sunday morning of the festival in the Hygienic Art Park to announce the winners.
