Applications are now available for artists wishing to participate in Art on the Grand, a juried fine arts and crafts fair to be held Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3 in downtown Farmington. Applications are due March 25, 2018 and can be found at www.artonthegrand.com. A $25 early bird application fee is available to artists who apply by December 31, 2017.

Now in the 8th year as a stand-alone event, this juried fine arts and crafts fair has found its way into the heart of Michigan art lovers and is known for being “art-focused”, having a desirable size, great organization and a wonderful, hands-on approach!

Artists accepted into the fair will gain exposure to over 40,000 shoppers in an affluent community which vigorously promotes and supports the arts. Artists also enjoy courtesy booth sitters for breaks, complimentary coffee, water and refreshments on Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, many local restaurants will deliver meals directly to artist booths!

Fine Artists and Crafters from around the country are featured and have booths in a variety of disciplines and price ranges. Different artistic categories include: painting, pottery, photography, jewelry, mixed media, wood, wearable art, glass, leather, sculpture, and more. All artwork must be handmade by the applying artist. No kits, molds, mass-produced or resale items are allowed. Prints of original work are allowed.

The 11 x 11 artist booth fee is $275 for the two days, a $500 award for “Best of Show” and two honorary “Mayor’s Awards” are given out each year.

Art on the Grand is presented by the City of Farmington Hills Special Services Department – Cultural Arts Division and the Farmington Downtown Development Authority.
