Patricia Lambert was educated in photography, painting, and printmaking.
She made a brief detour to stage lighting and design for Dance, working at the Juilliard stage for several years. She later returned to printmaking combining photo methods and etching. Patricia produces work in gelatin silver as well as digital printing. All work is archival. Her work is in private collections and shown in solo exhibitions nationally and internationally.
Lambert has also taught at the Parsons School of Design for over twenty-five years lecturing on color and composition in two dimensional design. During the summer she teaches workshops on color related to design. Her first book, COLOR AND FIBER (Schiffer Publishing Ltd.), a collaboration with two well-known fiber artists, is used as the primary text and is still in print.
Her second book, CONTROLLING COLOR (Design Press) is now out of print, but may be purchased from Amazon.
She works from her studio in North Stamford, Connecticut where she continues to teach and create new work.
